In my university days,i have noticed that students including myself tend to understand a course when there’s a story used as a foundational introduction to the particular topic. The interest of the students are usually bought cheap when you give story scenarios.
I was able to learn comfortable with that tactics and I have learnt to inculcate that method in passing knowledge to people.
