About Mimi

Hello there! I am a Political Science alum, who started off in Accounting, and is now on her way to becoming a Paralegal and then off to Teacher's College. I know what a whirlwind, the thing is I love learning. I love trying new things and picking up ways to teach my students throughout the years. The best part is learning from my students while they learn from me. I have been tutoring since high school, throughout my University years I joined an organization to peer mentor students about Conflict Resolution and Problem Solving. I have also tutored students in the inner cities as well as advocating for their local communities. I have taught a Grade 5/6 class for a summer with the READII program by A.N.C.H.O.R. (African Canadian Coalition Against Hate, Oppression, and Racism) and it was amazing how each student progressed, and how other students came to me for help and support. Learning isn't just about teaching, it is the willingness to change and grow from where you are to whom you are willing to become. Right now I am working with a Non-profit who has worked within the high school and middle school years to provide programming that empowers Black youth. I want to EMPOWER YOU, so stick with me and let's succeed!

About the lesson

Hi there! Are you looking for someone who can help you with your assignments, teach you how to study well, and break down the lessons you learn in class, while keeping things chill and perhaps boosting your confidence. Look no further! My tutoring style is always designed and tailored to you and your individual needs. Whether you learn better by listening (auditory), reading (visual), writing (repetition), hands-on (kinesthetic) or a combination, we will work together to make learning easy for you. My lessons are designed for K-12, and specific University courses ranging from English/Language/Literacy, Math/Numeracy, Basic Sciences, Chemistry, Biology, Business (Accounting, Marketing, Human Resources), with French coming soon. My lessons are kept short and simple, and start from the basics or foundations up to and including possible complexities. Whether you are looking to get ahead, having difficulty learning certain concepts or specific subjects, let's work together, and I will help you achieve greatness!
