About Julie

With over 10 years of experience working with children across various educational settings—including students with IEPs—I bring both professional knowledge and personal understanding to the table. As a mom of a neurodivergent child with dyslexia, dyscalculia, and dysgraphia, I deeply understand the unique challenges struggling readers and writers face—and how to support them with patience, empathy, and proven strategies. Currently pursuing my certification as a Reading Specialist, I specialize in delivering systematic and explicit reading instruction grounded in the Science of Reading. My teaching is hands-on, engaging, and tailored to meet the needs of every learner. Whether I’m guiding a child through phonemic awareness activities, supporting early writing skills, or helping build confidence with multisensory tools, my goal is to make learning both meaningful and fun.

About the lesson

With years of experience in early childhood education, I specialize in helping children gain confidence and joy in reading through multisensory activities, structured routines, and imaginative play. Whether we’re tapping out phonemes, using Elkonin boxes, or diving into a themed storybook adventure, I tailor instruction to meet the needs of every child, especially those who need a little extra support or who are learning English as a new language.

My approach combines the best of both worlds: solid, research-backed instruction and a warm, nurturing environment that sparks curiosity and creativity. If you're looking for someone who can blend the science of reading with the art of early childhood education, let’s connect!
