About SIPHIA

Teaching Experience I am a certified TEFL (120-hour) English teacher with over 5 years of experience teaching English as a Foreign Language to students from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds. My journey in education began with a strong academic foundation in Applied Linguistics and TESOL, followed by practical experience teaching both online and in-person. I have worked with: Adult learners and business professionals seeking to improve communication, writing, and presentation skills. University students preparing for IELTS, TOEFL, and other academic exams. Young learners (ages 6–14), focusing on reading, grammar, and spoken fluency through games and interactive lessons. Certifications & Education: 120-hour TEFL Certificate – Global TEFL Institute Bachelor’s Degree in English Language & Literature – University of Illinois (USA) Ongoing workshops and training in digital tools for online teaching, differentiated instruction, and student-centered learning. Teaching Methodology: My approach is based on communicative language teaching (CLT) and task-based learning, where students use real-life language in practical, goal-oriented tasks. I design each lesson to be: Student-centered and interactive Customized to individual goals and proficiency levels Focused on building confidence, fluency, and accuracy Enriched with multimedia, authentic materials, and creative tasks I also emphasize pronunciation, vocabulary building, and critical thinking, ensuring students gain not just language skills, but also cultural understanding and communication strategies.
