About Olivia
Hi! My name is Olivia and I am a 21 year-old third year student at the University of Cambridge studying Spanish and Italian. I love to dance, travel, and learn about other cultures, and am passionate about language learning being a fun and rewarding process, able to open doors for everyone. I have tutored Spanish alongside other subjects for 5 years, so have experience adapting to a variety of students. As a bubbly, down-to-earth person, I love helping students change their attitudes towards their language-learning potential, passing on my own enthusiasm.

Among other subjects, I have been tutoring Spanish from beginner through to GCSE and A-level for 5 years, significantly helping to boost students' grades. I have also completed a Language Leaders qualification, focusing on using engaging activities to teach languages from scratch.
As a friendly, social young person I feel I am able to bring the best out of my students by being someone they can relate to and feel comfortable around. With my own experiences at school still being relatively fresh, I am passionate about building students' confidence by introducing new perspectives and teaching methods they may not have encountered at school but may be better suited to their learning style.
I typically teach one hour lessons but I am very happy to adapt to students' wishes. Likewise, sessions can focus on listening, reading, writing, or speaking to varying degrees, always lead by the student's own goals.
My personal experience of the Cambridge Modern and Medieval Languages (MML) admissions process means I also offer support with any aspect of this application. This includes both the written assessment for post-A-level languages, and interviews for post-A-level and ab initio languages (I also study ab initio Italian).
