About Emma
Hi! My name is Emma, and I'm currently a third-year student at the University of Stirling studying Politics and Criminology. Throughout school, I really enjoyed subjects that involved reading, writing, and critical thinking. I achieved high grades in Higher English, Advanced Higher English, Higher Modern Studies, and Higher Politics, all of which helped me develop strong communication, analytical, and essay-writing skills.
I want to become a tutor because I enjoy helping others build confidence in their abilities and reach their academic goals. I know that English can sometimes feel challenging, whether it's understanding texts, improving essay writing, or preparing for exams, and I'd like to help make the subject feel more approachable. Seeing someone gain confidence and improve over time is something I find really rewarding.
As a current university student, I also understand the demands of studying and can relate to the challenges students face. My aim is to create a supportive, encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, developing their skills, and achieving their full potential.

My lessons consist of mainly national 5 and higher past paper questions for high schoolers that are heading towards their exams. Any sort of questions from RUEA to even essay writing based questions and how to write an essay effectively.
