About Holly
I’ve always loved the fact that English literature and poetry seldom have right or wrong answers. The ‘grey area’ is expansive and offers you the chance to let your imagination run wild, and once you realise the potential that gives you to show off your creative skill - there’s really no stopping you.
I got an A* in GCSE English literature and an A in A-level English literature. I hold a BA Honours degree in Journalism and I currently work in public affairs and communications which requires high level copywriting day to day, meaning I am fully capable of supporting you and also offering insight into the working world and where English literature grades can take you in life.
I will listen to your needs and uncover what makes learning fun for you. I will do everything I can to make my lessons tailored specifically to you, and as engaging as possible as you enter an important time of your life.

English literature and poetry aren’t everyone’s cup of tea, so let’s make it your hot chocolate, mocha, Fanta orange… whatever takes your fancy.
In my lessons, we’ll discuss your interests, your preferred ways of working and learning and how we can tap into your imagination and creativity to bring your writing and literature analysis to life in a way that excites you, not bores you to tears.
Additionally, I can also provide support with reading and spelling, as well as university personal statements and CVs for those heading into higher education.
