My typical Spanish lessons for K-8th graders are dynamic, easy to understand, and effective for learning and keeping students engaged. Each session begins with a fun warm-up and quick review to reinforce previous knowledge. Next, I introduce new concepts, these consisting of new vocabulary, grammar, or phrases- using visuals and clear examples. The core of the lesson involves interactive practice tailored to age, from total physical response activities for younger students to conversational role-play for the older students. We conclude with the application phase in which students actively apply what they have learned followed by a brief recap of future topics.
