About Timon

- What kind of experience do you have? I am a lecturer in a University. I began my teaching career in 2006 as an accounting lecturer and have been teaching in different colleges since then. Courses planning and offering pastoral services is part of my job. - Do you have an up-to-date DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service, formerly CRB) Certificate? Yes - Where and with whom did you train? Kaplan (London) and LSBF (London) - Do you belong to any professional organisations? ACCA, FAIA and AAT

About the lesson

Having a busy schedule but want to study part-time? Then why not have a private tutor and have flexible timing? I am a fully qualified Chartered Accountant, with 14 years of teaching experience. I am currently teaching in a University. I have also been providing individual and group lessons in accounting, Microsoft Excel and SAGE software. My key strength is the ability to take complex topics and questions and make them easy to understand. I am able to help my students digest the course material and exercises that they are struggling with, and then teach them back in a way that they fully grasp the principles involved. During lockdown I have been teaching online to all my students. One of my students who was stuck in Dubai scored 85% in Principles of Accounting. I am very patient and committed to my students. Therefore, I try to be flexible and the methodology/approach will be agreed with the student on our first call. - Which subject(s) do you teach? ACCA Accounting (F2,F3,F6,F7), AAT Accounting (All Levels), FIA Accounting (All Levels), Bachelors/Masters level Accounting. - Tell me about your qualifications. I have done ACCA, MSc, BSc Hons, FIA, Additional Courses: Microsoft Excel, SAGE Accounting Software - How much do you charge? My charges are reasonable and usually finalised after discussion with the student. - Where do you teach? I teach my students at their university campuses, Online, local libraries, their home, coffee shops. I live in South Norwood (London) and I am willing to travel 5 miles. - When are you available? Weekends and evenings on Weekdays. - Which ages and levels do you teach? Any age. - Do you have a personal message for students? My students enjoy my way of teaching because I adopt a friendly but professional approach in my teaching, and customise my teaching methods according to students' abilities, needs and understanding. I believe that teaching is more of an art than just reading from slides.
