About Jessica
I was born in the U.S. but moved to Mexico at the age of 5 without knowing a single word of Spanish. Immersed in the culture, I picked it up naturally and quickly became fluent. Years later, when I returned to the U.S. for high school, I was surprised by the way Spanish was taught—focused on grammar charts and endless vocabulary lists. To me, it felt tedious and uninspiring. That experience shaped my teaching style today. I focus on conversation, real-life context, and practical use of the language—helping students learn Spanish the way I did: naturally, enjoyably, and effectively.

I have never been a fan of learning a second language by studying grammar and vocabulary first. I believe that is better to learn through conversation. Immersing yourself in Spanish music, media and having conversations are, in my opinion, better and quicker ways to learn!
