About Erin
Hello to prospective new students,
As a long-time student of foreign languages (Spanish and French), I understand the hard work and exposure that it takes to cultivate ease while communicating in a language that is not your own, particularly when it comes to everyday conversation. Oftentimes, what we learn in our textbooks does not translate to real life!
My years of experience as a tutor in several subjects (ESL, Math, English and Literature, Music Theory) has given me a sensitivity to each students' unique learning style, and sessions are tailored to meet individual strengths and interests.
Having traveled throughout the world, I also appreciate the importance of being able to connect in a meaningful way to locals in both casual and formal settings and to communicate nuances of one's personal experience.
I promise a creative and effective path to ESL excellence.

Are you wanting to bridge the gap between textbook and colloquial English? Or become more comfortable speaking to native English speakers? Perhaps you'd like to become better at expressing yourself through creative writing in English?
I am a graduate of Anthropology and Letters from the University of Oklahoma and world traveler, with a passion for cross-cultural communication, who would love to help you with your specific language-learning needs.
Each half or hour-long lesson may include:
-Help with school-specific ESL, Literature or Writing Assignments including but not limited to grammar and spelling help or vocabulary.
-Independently chosen age appropriate readings or videos- a current event, magazine or excerpt from a book- and relevant discussion.
-Creative writing prompts.
My mission as a tutor is to bring more ease and enjoyment to the learning process, giving you the tools and experience to move through the English-speaking world with confidence.
