In summary, I believe that teaching apart from a deep knowledge of the subject requires the ability to create a performance that will inspire and pierce through the student and I think Marilena is a person that is extraordinary in combining the two.

As her mother, I’ve seen Marilena’s dedication to education and helping others grow. She is professional, hardworking, and deeply invested in her students’ success, especially in writing, analysis, and university preparation.

Me and Marilena met at Northwestern and she is the only greek person I got close with instantly. Without her, life at northwestern would have been miserable. She is the perfect person for this job as she is one of the most caring, compassionate, dedicated and fun people I’ve ever met. During our time at college, she taught me so many things about the theater world and took me on a tour to her performance buildings just because I had never been and she wanted for me to experience that. We also took many spanish classes together and honestly she made me such a better student. She always helped me with homework everytime I needed it, she made sure I understood the material, had practice quizzes together and she made our spanish projects so much fun.
