About Theo
My name is Matteo, I care a lot about access to the arts, in particular classical voice, Opera and legit musical theatre. I trained at Chetham's School of Music where I studied as a Mezzo-Soprano, but began to medically transition and am in the process of learning my new instrument. I love to teach, watching students unlock their potential and discover a passion for the art of singing is an absolute joy to me in all ways.

I take on a direct and detailed approach to my teaching, focusing primarily on vocal health and natural sound. I encourage an embodied approach to the vocal instrument, I believe in adapting to the individual needs of the singer and working with these - whatever they might be. I believe in gender neutral repertoire and technique, each instrument is individual in character and should not be boxed in to an outdated system of division.
