About Zoey
Hello and welcome! With 18 years of experience teaching singing and a Bachelor of Music in Musical Theater Voice, I specialize in helping students develop strong, versatile voices. My training spans Classical, Pop, Rock, and Country styles, allowing me to guide singers across genres with precision and passion.
I focus on building vocal control, musical expression, and stage readiness through personalized coaching tailored to each student’s strengths and goals. Ear development, harmony exercises, and improvisation are integrated into lessons to enhance musical awareness and creativity. Music theory is also woven into sessions, providing a strong foundation for confident performance and composition.
Lessons are interactive and hands-on, combining technical exercises with practical application in songs and performance pieces. I emphasize breath support, resonance, and diction to help students achieve clarity and power in their singing. Role-playing and mock performances are used to build stage presence and confidence.

My teaching approach focuses on building confidence, pitch accuracy, and expressive vocal performance for both The Fiddler and The Music Major. I design lessons to suit each student’s strengths and goals, providing tailored techniques that help them develop a unique vocal style. Breathing exercises and posture work are central, giving the voice strength, control, and endurance.
Vocal health routines are emphasized to prevent strain and maintain long-term performance quality. I incorporate ear training apps and metronomes to improve pitch recognition, rhythm, and timing. Recording devices are used regularly so students can track progress and hear improvements over time.
Practice is guided but flexible, allowing for experimentation with dynamics, phrasing, and expression. Role-play and performance scenarios build stage confidence and prepare students for live or studio settings. Each session balances technical exercises with creative exploration, making learning engaging and effective.
Students gain clarity, consistency, and expressive freedom in their singing. With consistent support and structured practice, both The Fiddler and The Music Major see noticeable growth in skill and self-assurance. Lessons are designed to motivate, challenge, and inspire at every step.
