About Jun Kai

I am a dedicated Mandarin tutor with a strong academic background and a passion for language teaching. As a graduate of the University of Queensland with a double major including Chinese-English Translation, I bring both deep knowledge and practical skills to every lesson. My achievements in competitive Chinese prose writing and debating demonstrate my expertise in communication and language mastery. I am fluent in Mandarin, Cantonese, English, and Malay, which allows me to connect with students from diverse backgrounds and tailor my teaching to individual needs. I believe learning a language should be engaging, accessible, and confidence-building. Whether you are a beginner or an advanced learner, I am committed to helping you achieve your goals with patience, professionalism, and personalized support.

About the lesson

I offer personalised Mandarin lessons tailored to each student's level, goals, and learning style. My teaching approach combines structured language foundations with real-life application. I focus on all core skills: listening, speaking, reading, and writing. I incorporate conversation practice, multimedia tools, and cultural insights into my lessons to actively engage students and develop their confidence and fluency.

Each session typically runs for 60 minutes, with the option to extend if needed. I hold a degree in Chinese-English Translation from the University of Queensland and am fluent in Mandarin, Cantonese, English, and Malay. I received first place in a state-level Chinese prose writing competition and was ranked among the top ten debaters at the World High School Chinese Debate Championship. These achievements reflect my strength in both written and spoken Chinese.

I welcome students of all levels and ages. Whether you are preparing for exams, working on conversational skills, or learning Mandarin for travel or professional use, I will support your progress with patience, clarity, and dedication.
