About Mia

With over 8 years of experience teaching guitar both in-person and online, I bring a passion for contemporary styles and creative expression to every lesson. I hold a Bachelor of Music in Guitar Performance, where I focused on compositional techniques and arranging specifically for guitar. My teaching philosophy centers on helping students develop their own original music through a deep understanding of harmony, melodic invention, and counterpoint. I tailor each lesson to fit individual goals, whether you’re just starting out or already an advanced player aiming to compose and arrange professionally. I also guide students in recording basic demos, giving them tools to bring their music to life. Over the years, I’ve worked with a wide range of learners—from beginners discovering the guitar for the first time to expert composers refining their craft. About the lesson
