About Msimamisi

Hello, my name is Msimamisi Lushaba. I am a graduate of the University of Cape Town, holding a BSc in Electrical & Computer Engineering, and I currently work as an Engineer in the renewable energy industry.

For over five years, I have helped primary school, high school, and university students improve their understanding and performance in Mathematics, Physics, IT, Programming, and Electrical Engineering. My teaching style is patient, structured, and focused on developing a deep understanding of concepts rather than rote memorisation.

I believe that strong fundamentals and critical thinking are the key to academic success. Drawing from both my engineering background and industry experience, I help students connect theory to real-world applications while building confidence in their problem-solving abilities.

Whether you are looking to improve your marks, prepare for examinations, or master challenging concepts, I am committed to providing professional, personalised support to help you achieve your goals.

About the lesson

My teaching approach focuses on understanding rather than memorisation. I help students break down complex problems into manageable steps and develop the critical thinking skills needed to solve them independently.

I have over 6 years of tutoring experience working with primary school, high school, and university students. I hold a BSc in Electrical & Computer Engineering from the University of Cape Town (UCT) and assist with Mathematics, Physics, IT, Programming, and Electrical Engineering. As an Engineer in the renewable energy industry, integrated thinking and problem-solving are part of my daily work, and I bring that practical mindset into every lesson.

I teach in both English and isiZulu. Lessons are tailored to each student's needs and may include concept explanations, worked examples, and exam preparation. My goal is to build confidence, strengthen fundamentals, and help students achieve lasting academic success.
