About Mackenzie
With a BFA in Digital Guitar Performance and over 4 years of teaching experience, I specialize in teaching blues guitar techniques. My lessons are tailored to each student, from beginner to advanced. I focus on slide guitar, open tunings, and fingerpicking blues styles. My teaching style is patient, encouraging, and focused on musical growth. I have experience teaching multiple regional blues traditions, including Delta, Chicago, and Piedmont. Lessons emphasize tone, phrasing, dynamics, and expressive playing. I guide students in developing technical skill and personal style. Each session blends structured exercises with creative improvisation.
