About Alfie
I am a researcher in medieval history, having previously studied ancient history at the undergraduate and master's level. History and classics are my passion, and it gives me a great deal of satisfaction to share it with other people. At the same time, like most people I have at times struggled with academic assessments, and have had to develop strategies to deal with them to get the highest possible grades, and I enjoy helping other learners do the same.

I seek to both inspire the interests of my students and provide targeted support in areas of concern to ensure they achieve their full academic potential, from KS3 all the way up to the university level. I believe that history and classics offer something for everyone, so my first step is always to try to engage with my students to find out their interests and encourage them to form links with the subjects they are studying, before showing them how to channel this to achieve the best possible results in their coursework.
