About Tyson
I am a 21-year-old uni student looking to get into tutoring as a natural next step alongside my studies. My experience as a Sports Science Intern at Southampton Football Club, as well as working as an Activity Instructor at a children’s holiday camp, has helped me develop strong coaching, communication and motivational skills. I pride myself on being able to adapt to different students and explain concepts in a way that works for them.
During my A levels, I achieved strong grades despite finding that traditional classroom teaching did not always suit the way I learnt. I found my own resources and developed study methods that worked for me, which ultimately helped me achieve top grades. I would love to share these approaches with students currently going through the same exams and help them find a learning style that works for them.

I offer engaging, personalised tutoring for GCSE and A-level PE, using clear explanations, real-world sporting examples and active questioning to help students understand and apply key concepts. Lessons typically last 60 minutes and are adapted to each student’s needs, whether developing understanding, preparing for exams or improving exam technique. I am currently completing a Sports and Exercise Science degree at the University of Leeds and have gained extensive practical experience within elite sport, including a placement at Southampton Football Club.
