First, I'll ask about the current assignment, then address the difficulties they are having with the assignment. If no underlying issues present during the lesson, I may speak with parents to gather any concerns they have about their childs academics. If there is a clear struggle with learning the language in reading, speaking or writing, I will show them an exercise and leave them with instructions for performing the exercises when not in a session with me or their teachers.
