About Mia
I am a bilingual native speaker of both Spanish and English, which allows me to explain complex language concepts clearly and effectively. Having completed Spanish A-level a year early and achieved an A*, I have a strong understanding of both the language itself and the skills needed to excel in examinations.
I have a strong desire to help students grow in confidence and achieve their academic goals. This year I have privately tutored 15 students, each with different strengths, weaknesses, and learning styles. This experience has taught me the importance of adapting my teaching methods to suit the individual learner rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all approach.

My approach to tutoring is student-centred, with each lesson tailored to the individual needs and goals of the learner. Lessons combine clear explanations of key concepts with guided practice, exam-style questions, and regular feedback to ensure steady progress. I also place a strong emphasis on developing effective revision and exam techniques, particularly for GCSE and A-level students. Furthermore, a typical lesson lasts one hour. Lessons are structured to make the most of the time available, usually beginning with a review of previous content, followed by focused teaching on a specific topic, and ending with practice questions and a summary of key learning points.
