About Amber

I am a dedicated violin tutor with over 8 years of teaching experience and a Bachelor of Music in Violin Performance. My training is deeply rooted in the traditions of Classical violin, where technique, tone, and discipline form the foundation of artistry. At the same time, I guide students toward modern expressive playing that connects with today’s audiences.

My lessons focus on refined bowing control, confident vibrato, and beautiful phrasing. I teach students how to shape musical lines with thoughtful interpretation. We explore repertoire across Classical, Contemporary, and Cinematic styles to build both technical strength and creative flexibility. Each lesson is structured yet inspiring.

I also prepare students for ABRSM and Trinity College London examinations with clear guidance and exam strategies. For ensemble players, I provide orchestral coaching that develops listening skills, blend, and professional rehearsal habits. Technique and musicianship grow side by side.

About the lesson

My violin teaching methodology is rooted in physical awareness, mental focus, and natural musical flow. I guide students to become conscious of posture, balance, and breathing while playing. Calm breathing supports steady tone and relaxed movement.

I emphasize a relaxed left hand technique to prevent tension and improve agility. Smooth bowing is developed through controlled arm weight and fluid wrist motion. Students learn to feel the bow rather than force the sound.

Mental focus is trained through visualization of music patterns and phrasing before playing. This strengthens accuracy and confidence. I encourage imaginative learning so music becomes expressive and meaningful.

Healthy practice habits are carefully built step by step. I teach structured routines that improve consistency while preventing strain or fatigue. Students are supported in a calm and respectful environment where they feel safe to explore and grow. Clear goals are set together to maintain direction and motivation. Through steady guidance, learners develop technical strength, artistic depth, and long term joy in playing the violin.
