About Anastasia
I am a molecular biologist by training and a language lover at heart. I am passionate about the learning process, my personal interests spread far and wide (e.g., microbiology within science, Greek within language, and also all forms of art). I began tutoring as a way to communicate this love for science and language with other people and help them achieve their academic goals. What I wish to instill during my lessons is the same curiosity for learning, and also the courage to challenge your own understanding and beliefs.

Russian
My lessons are 50-60 minutes long, with the topic decided by the student. I follow a very interactive approach, drawing upon my student's experiences, encouraging questions and guiding them to connect the dots between topics for reinforced learning. I cater to both Junior and Senior Cycles, and adjust the lesson format to the learning style of the student.
My priority is for my students to get a deep understanding of the subject, addressing both exam requirements and real-world relevance in a comfortable and challenging environment. Being from Ireland, I have personal experience with the Irish curriculum. I enrich and personalize my lessons with teaching techniques I have benefited from in my education in the Netherlands (BSc in neuroscience) and Sweden (MSc in molecular biology).
