About TONIA

I started a design company at the age of 22 after graduating offering, logo designs,
branding, plus other design and print services including t shirt printing.
I ran this for over 14 years to improve and recreate marketing materials for
companies and brands. Being in the industry for over 20 years. I realised that classroom
knowledge was very different to live client and project situations and I can
support in this. I can support you within your projects going through the process as if it
was for a real client and that’s what makes the difference in the mindset. My style is
very practical so it will come with some discussions, practical research and
comparisons/examples visually and ideas to support.

If you are an inspiring creative looking to up-skill and increase your knowledge or
you are even having a designers block, I can assist. I can support on how to use the
programs and work with you to develop your concepts, thinking and processing of a design brief and working on your portfolios.

Also if you are a new designer to the industry and you want to
access my years of knowledge to ask me questions this is a great opportunity to pick my brain.
I'm very laid back, patient and have a passion for design.
My aim is to share my knowledge and skills with those eager to learn. I believe learning should be fun.

About the lesson

Creative, fun and engaging sessions through Teams. Working with a diverse number of students and adults at all levels.
Practical conversation with easy to understand use of language and terms. I can offer feedback on the development of your projects and portfolios.
Looking at fonts, images and layouts using the principles of design to image manipulate and render.
For marketing material creations, support on
creating layouts like business cards, flyers and promotional materials. Working with layers in Photoshop, correct page layouts in Indesign with some inspiration of Bahaus. Setting up layouts and pages with Indesign, bleed and crop marks
How to use the tools pallets, effectively with paths, lines and curvs in illustrator to createlogos. Step by step guides can be supplied and used during tutorials.

Lessons can be 20mins to 40mins long

Currently updating to an MA
