About Chhavi
I am Chhavi, a fourth-year UBC student in Computer Science, Biology, and Cognitive Systems. I am a teaching assistant for Human-Centered AI and Cognitive Systems courses, and I interned as a software engineer at Mastercard working on Java, Python, and production machine learning.
I have also built research tooling at BC Cancer and shipped production TypeScript and React sites for university programs. Students usually come to me for clear explanations and a calm pace. I am based in Vancouver and teach in English, online or in person.

I am Chhavi, a UBC Computer Science and Cognitive Systems teaching assistant. I tutor Python, Java, intro programming, React, and introductory machine learning for high school, university, and adult beginners.
Lessons are concept-first. We break the problem down together, you write the work, and I coach. I do not complete assignments or submit work in a student’s name.
A typical session is 55 minutes: five minutes to set the goal, thirty-five minutes working through one or two problems out loud, then a short practice task after. Online or in Vancouver. Best fit if you want to understand the material, not just finish tonight’s homework.
