About Kathy

I am an experienced tutor with a RIBA part 1 degree from the Architectural Association and professional experience at Foster + Partners, one of the world’s leading design practices. I offer tutoring sessions to individuals aspiring to study architecture or design at university, providing expert guidance on crafting successful applications — specializing in portfolio development personal statements and interviews. Additionally, I offer support to current architecture students, helping with software skills, project development, and portfolio refinement.

In our one-to-one sessions, we'll begin by setting clear goals and discussing your specific needs (e.g., preparing a portfolio for university applications or seeking guidance on a particular project). From there, we will create a personalized structure to help you succeed.

PORTFOLIO SESSIONS: These tutorials will closely mimic the dynamic between a student and university tutor. You will present your work or ideas, followed by constructive feedback and discussion aimed at strengthening your portfolio. Whether you're refining an existing portfolio or building one from scratch, I’ll guide you through the process. We’ll also have time to address broader university application topics, such as personal statements or interview preparation.

PROJECT SESSIONS/PRESENTATIONS: These discussion-based sessions are ideal for presenting your work and seeking creative input. We’ll focus on improving project workflows, practicing presentation skills, and enhancing your design thinking.

DIGITAL SKILLS WORKSHOPS: I offer 1-to-1 workshops in software like Rhino3D, VRay, and Adobe InDesign. Whether you’re learning these tools for the first time or want to improve existing skills, these sessions are designed to help you stay ahead in your architectural studies.

All sessions are tailored to your needs, and I will support you every step of the way to achieve your architecture-related goals!
