About Faridah
Hi, I'm Faridah, and I'm a fourth-year medical student at UCL. I remember the application process being long, confusing and arduous, and I wouldn’t have got here without the support of my mentors. That’s why I want to help other students do the same, and demystify the process. Often, the barrier to entry isn’t academic ability, but rather preparation, which relies on knowledge that is difficult to access and often depends heavily on the school one attends. I find so much joy in helping students circumvent this barrier and reach their full potential.

Sessions focus on personal statement guidance and interview preparation, as well as general support and guidance regarding the application process. The first session will focus on understanding your goals and deficits (which medical schools, what you aim to work on etc). The next few sessions typically focus on personal statement guidance and filling gaps related to work experience and further reading. Then, interview preparation, which I conduct as mock interview sessions with questions tailored to the student's needs and target universities. This is typically 60 minutes (questions, discussion, verbal and written feedback). This is all a general guide as all sessions are heavily based on what the student requires. Previous students currently study at Birmingham and Leicester Medical School (additionally one student who has firmed Imperial), with offers including Imperial College, University College, King’s College, Barts, Anglia Ruskin, Hull York and Nottingham Medical Schools.
