About Clemence
I’m half French, half Canadian so I’ve been speaking French and English my entire life.
I started learning German when I was 14 and Italian when I was 16.
I worked as a Linguistics and Community specialist for a market research agency in London, so translating English marketing and consultancy documents into French, German and Italian was part of my daily tasks.
I love translation and I believe that you can truly grasp the different nuances and complexities of a language through translation.

I’m a native French speaker and
I graduated from UCL this year with First Class Honours, studying German and Italian. My goal here is to help you take your French, German and Italian to the next level!
Thanks to my uni studies, I realised that the key to learning a language in depth is not just to master its grammar, vocabulary and conjugation through books, but really learn the language and its nuances through literature and culture.
Working with me, we will not just do textbook work. I want to make your language skills stronger through translations and short essay writing to put into practise the knowledge you already have and challenge you.
Working on pronunciation is also essential, so we will engage in lively conversations to hone your oral skills and make you sound as native as possible.
I’m happy to tutor learners from all levels, from complete beginners to intermediate learners.
