About Isabella

I know how important grades can be, especially when it comes to university applications, and I’ve experienced first-hand how difficult it can be to manage revision by yourself. Often, by the time you work out exactly what you need to be doing to achieve a certain grade, you’ve already lost valuable time.

If I could go back and give my younger self advice about studying and revision, I definitely would! Since I can’t, I’d love to pass on what I’ve learnt to younger students instead.

Understanding what to revise, when to revise it and, most importantly, how to revise effectively was something I struggled with for far too long. Having the right guidance can make the whole process much less overwhelming. As a tutor, I want to help students not only understand their subjects, but also develop effective revision strategies, improve their exam technique and feel more confident about what they need to do to reach their goals.

About the lesson

Hi, I’m currently a Psychology student at UCL and recently completed my A-Levels with A*AA, achieving an A* in Psychology and A in Biology and A in Chemistry. I did Cambridge International (CIE) exam board.

Having only recently completed my A-Levels, I’m very familiar with the current GCSE and A-Level experience, including revision and exam technique. I understand that sometimes knowing the content isn’t enough — learning how to approach questions and understand exactly what examiners are looking for can make a huge difference.

I offer tutoring in A level and AS level Cambridge International (CIE) Psychology and IGCSE Biology, Chemistry and science. I'm interested in adapting sessions depending on what each student needs, whether that’s understanding difficult topics, going through past-paper questions, improving exam technique or creating an effective revision strategy.

I aim to make lessons relaxed and encouraging so students feel comfortable asking questions and saying when they don’t understand something. I’m happy to work with students of different confidence levels and tailor lessons to their individual goals.
