About Sarah
I will be a junior at Washington University in St. Louis this fall. I've been through the college application process, and while I work on obtaining my minor in writing, I've also grown so much as a writer. I wrote my first novel at 11 years old. It was 100 pages, and I was so proud of my work. It was at that moment that I knew what my passion was. I love the art of storytelling. Being a writer means so much more than a bunch of random words on paper. Words can be a beautiful thing when they're selected carefully and strung together nicely. This summer I've been working on writing a young adult science fiction novel, and I'm excited to have a publisher working with me by the end of the year! I'm excited to get to know you and help you along your own journey as a writer.

I got nearly a perfect score on the grammar portion of the writing section on the SAT. I will teach you the tricks to spend less time overthinking each question, and you will learn that the best way to excel is to become familiar with the patterns and types of questions you'll be asked. You don't need to know everything to get a great score!
I will also teach you how to find your own unique writing process. There is no specific way to approach creative writing. After you tell me what your specific writing goals are, whether that's for a short story or novel you wrote, I will give you feedback to help guide you in the direction that you want to go. My feedback is never based on the direction I think you should go. I'm aware we all have different preferences. I'm here to guide you and make sure that the message you want others to receive is being represented in the most clear and concise way possible.
