About Alyssa
Hello students! I am in my undergraduate course of study for Secondary Education in English at GCU. I’ve worked in high school special education for the past two years and love it! I am a big reader and always found quick and effective techniques to write, so naturally, I wanted to teach! English can be tough, but with my focus on differing learning styles, you will be a pro in no time. I want to have fun while learning and hope everyone can love English like I do.

I teach lessons for middle school and high school English. I focus on engaging lesson plans that meet interests and needs for the students. I believe one method of learning is not enough to grasp a concept or skill. I use tools to support visual, auditory, and kinesthetic learning styles. A typical lesson includes activities such as: discussion, review of past topics, videos, music, reading, games, and homework help. I want to help students LOVE learning.
