About Alexander
To be succinct, I enjoy teaching. It is most noble to be able to pass on knowledge to those who will proceed us. In my experience, it was rewarding to watch students grow and achieve their best in part thanks to my own contributions. Not only this, but being surrounded by multiple other perspectives is, to me, equally as informative. Being an undergraduate student is not a devaluation. I have a recent understanding of the GCSE and A-level examination process, allowing me to relate closely to your experiences as students and provide practical advice on revision strategies, essay writing, and exam technique alongside subject knowledge.

My philosophy on teaching is that no one student can be taught in the same way. We each have a deep and complex understanding of the material presented to us and it is my job to convey it in a way that suits the learner best, which is only possible after the teacher understands the learner.
Lesson lengths are a minimum of half an hour with a maximum of two and will cover a range of topics pertinent to exam board expectations. This includes enhancing the student's communication skills as well as others associated with writing or reading. As such, given the more complex nature of these lessons, children over the ages of 14 may consider them more appropriate.
I have two years of formal experience as a tutor split between A-levels and GCSE classes in my speciality. I hold A-levels in English Literature and Geography both at the grade of A. Additionally, my university degree (International Relations) is heavily politics-based.
