About Frank
I have been learning Spanish for over 10 years. I studied it throughout secondary school and sixth form, and, after a 3-month language and film course in Salamanca, chose to study Spanish and Latin American Studies at University College London. Two and a half years into my degree, I would describe myself as a fluent speaker and listener.
As for tutoring experience, I have helped both my siblings through their Latin and Spanish GCSEs (both got 9s--though I tactfully refrain from claiming all the credit!). A native English speaker, I know what it is like to learn Spanish as a second language. I know where English speakers struggle: subjunctives, verb conjugations, false cognates--I've been there!
I achieved a 9 in Spanish GCSE and A* at A Level.

I aim to inspire a love for the Spanish language in my students. I believe that there is fun to be had in every aspect of language-learning--even the grammar tables.
I reject the idea that some people just aren't good at languages. Chances are they weren't taught the basics well, and everything since then has been confusing.
It is my job to clarify things. My approach to teaching is flexible and student-based. I offer an introductory lesson at half-price, during which I gauge the student's strengths, weaknesses, and preferred learning methods. From then on, lessons are £15/hour and can be as frequent as the student wishes. I am based in Shepherd's Bush, London, and offer lessons online or in-person.
