I understand that every student has their own individual strengths and my role as a tutor is to find ways of helping my students discover and utilize these strengths in order to succeed.
I enjoy encouraging my students to reach their potential and seeing the confidence that it brings. I love discovering ways of making the ‘boring’ topics fascinating, and figuring out my student’s individual motivations and styles.
I believe that English Language and Literature has a wonderful way of expanding a person’s imagination and intelligence and my goal is to help my students enjoy the subject as much as I do.
I specialize in tutoring English Language and Literature to students aged 10 to 16, and English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) aged 6 to 18.
I have a degree in English and History.
I have 2 years experience teaching English (ESOL) in South Korea (students aged 6 - 18).
This September I am beginning a PGCE qualification in Secondary English and I intend to tutor students alongside my studies making full use of my knowledge of the current UK English curriculum in order to support my 1:1 students.
