About Namita

I am a university student who has been learning music since I was a kid.

I can play four instruments and have a range of solo and ensemble experience.

I believe that art is essential to strong communities and healthy individuals and hope to help people discover a love for music!

About the lesson

I appreciate integrated learning, so I try and incorporate games, activities and questions into lessons.

I believe 35mins is the best length as it allows for time to reflect on the previous week and future practice whilst not being overwhelming.

I want to teach what my students find interesting, not what a dusty old exam syllabus suggests, music is about expression!

I try and ensure learning is both practical and theoretical.

Deadly! I began taking piano lessons with Namita 6 months ago as a complete beginner and throughout the course of these lessons I've seen a great improvement in my technique and theory knowledge.

Namita's approach to teaching piano is great. She thoughtfully tailors the lessons around my personal needs and goals, making lessons enjoyable whilst still encouraging consistent improvement. Overall, she's an excellent piano teacher and I would highly recommend her.

We’ve had a wonderful experience with Namita. My daughter has been taking piano lessons with Namita for over 12 months now and the progress has been amazing. As a beginner, starting piano can feel a bit overwhelming but Namita is incredibly patient and encouraging. Her positive energy makes every lesson a safe space to learn and breaks everything down into easy steps. My daughter looks forward to her lesson every week!
