About Melanie
I am a student from the University of Nottingham! Whilst I have never given private lessons before, I have always enjoyed reading with others, and reading to them as well! I am a criminology and sociology student so reading is a big part of my course. I have learnt how to read academic papers, articles, chapters from books with ease, knowing how and what bits of information are the most vital to the work I need them for!

My teaching methodology is this: you can’t make anyone learn faster by being too hard on them. Things take time, and even something as simple as reading can be hard for some people. Everything should always be at the students pace, as they are the ones learning. Talking to the student to make sure that they have a good idea of what’s going on is vital, as you may never know if they are stuck, or need help! Communication is key, in every lesson.
