About Samm
Hi, my name is Samm. I’m 24 years old and I speak sign language fluently. My mom was deaf my entire life which makes me a CODA (Child of Deaf Adult). For years people have been asking why I don’t teach sign language in a classroom setting. It just wasn’t anything I was interested in. But now with Covid running around, and virtual learning being more available than ever, I figured why not!
In addition to being fluent, I took ASL in college up to ASL lV before deciding this wasn’t a field I wanted a long term career in.
Growing up in the deaf community gave me education in not only speaking the language, but also the culture of the deaf world. This is another topic we will be touching on in classes!

While my classes I offer are virtual, I have plenty of fun ways to pick up this language! Sign language is extremely hands on so I like to utilize that education style as much as I can. Wether it be through crafts, activities, games, or one-on-one improv settings!
