About Alexander
I am currently working in the IoT sector as a Firmware engineer/Systems Engineer. I have previously worked at the BMW group as a Software engineer.
I fell in love with tutoring during my last year of university where I was an assistant teacher at the University of Bournemouth, where I worked with first-year students.
I am a firm believer that when It comes to learning the fundamentals of programming, it is not important to focus so much on the particular programming language as it is to pay attention to design patterns. This is something I always try to convey to students. I am happy to either tutor from scratch to help with an existing project.

I teach through project-driven learning, which means that both I and the student work together on a project. From my experience of being an assistant teacher at the University of Bournemouth, this has often shown to be a highly effective way of teaching. I specialise primarily in working with A-level and University students but am open to working with younger children as I also have had a short experience tutoring kids aged 7-10. I am a Software engineering graduate of the University of Bournemouth, with 2 years in the industry.
A typical lesson usually lasts 1-2 hours depending on how we get on. It is my belief that there are no wrong or "stupid" questions and I take great care to make all of my students comfortable by creating a relaxed environment. I incentivise all of my students to be proactive, make mistakes and believe in their ability to learn. I love teaching and seeing people progress in their learning journey.
