About Theodore
I am a final year University of Bristol English Literature and French BA undergraduate who has just returned from a year abroad studying and working in Paris. I am not a native French speaker, and so am well acquainted with the challenges of learning a foreign language. Therefore, I am incredibly beginner friendly and good for those who wish to pass exams or simply improve at school. If you wish to consolidate a high level of French, I am perfect for practising all forms: speaking, writing, listening, reading. There is a dwindling level of support for the humanities and languages that you do not have to be victim to.

I believe that building confidence is key when learning a language. Nothing is learnt without mistakes, and as someone who is not native, I am very familiar with making mistakes throughout my own learning journey. Lessons will be tailored according to ability and confidence so that the environment is always relaxed. French will be incorporated through story, song, and conversation so that the more technical grammar and vocabulary can feel more approachable. The lessons will be interactive rather than worksheet focused, although exam practice is offered. I can help with existing work. It is good to know that French is a beautiful language, but it is better to know why :)
