About Georgina

I graduated from the University of Cambridge with a first class honours degree in Modern and Medieval Languages (French and Spanish), including a year spent in Spain as an exchange student at the University of Valencia.

I am passionate about ensuring that studying languages is an accessible and rewarding process that absolutely anyone can relate to on a personal level.

I have 6 years of experience working with students, schools and parents to help young people achieve their potential: I have worked in schools with students following exam courses in French and Spanish; as a student, I was involved in a charity initiative which connected Cambridge students to local schools as a tutor and as senior officer for the whole scheme for designing schemes of learning.

More recently, I have completed a CPD accreditation in tutoring and hold Professional Affiliate membership to the Chartered College of Teaching.

About the lesson

Spanish Language and Literature has been my passion for a long time, and I think it might become yours too!

Learning Spanish should always be accessible and rewarding, especially because there's something for everyone - buying churros and chocolate in Madrid, weaving your way around Gaudi's Barcelona, watching fireworks all night at Valencia's Fallas, mastering the mechanics of Spanish grammar, Cervantes' odd jokes... The possibilities are endless - we just have to figure out what will grab your interest.

My lessons will always be focussed on the needs and enjoyment of the student — I'm here to help you, not just to pass your exams, but also to find a passion for thinking about the Spanish language and the culture that comes along with it.

My lessons always strike a balance between context, exam technique and building confidence: having been a shy and anxious student myself, I am particularly aware of how daunting education and exams can seem to all students and we will work together to tackle this in our lessons.

I offer engaging, enjoyable and bespoke online tuition for GCSE Spanish and Spanish A level, and have experience tutoring AQA, Eduqas/WJEC, Edexcel and OCR. I have tutored students at university level and adult beginners for Spanish and would be happy to hear from students looking for similar support.

Our first lesson will be free of charge and can serve as a consultation on strategies to help you/your child move forward with their studies in Spanish.
