About Meimei

I am a motivated and reliable tutor with a strong interest in language learning and education. I enjoy helping students develop clear communication skills and gain confidence in expressing themselves in English, regardless of their starting level or age.

I take a practical and goal-focused approach to teaching, placing emphasis on clarity, consistency, and steady progress. Lessons are carefully planned but flexible, allowing me to adjust my approach depending on how a student responds and what they need most at that moment. I believe progress comes from feeling supported, not pressured.

Through my academic background and experience working with students, I have developed the ability to explain ideas clearly, correct mistakes constructively, and encourage independent thinking. I am committed to creating a respectful and focused learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and improving at their own pace.

My aim is to help students not only improve their English skills, but also feel more confident using the language in both academic and everyday situations.

About the lesson

I am a patient and dedicated English tutor offering high-quality lessons for students of all ages, as well as Chinese-speaking individuals, and from beginners to GCSE level. My lessons focus on building strong foundations in speaking, listening, reading, and writing, while also developing confidence and accuracy in everyday and academic English.

I tailor each lesson to the student’s age, level, and goals; whether that is improving pronunciation, expanding vocabulary, mastering grammar, preparing for school exams, or gaining confidence in conversational English. I explain concepts clearly, use structured practice, and provide continuous encouragement so students feel comfortable and motivated.

For GCSE-level students, I offer focused support with:

-Reading comprehension and analysis.

-Writing structure, vocabulary, and accuracy.

-Grammar and sentence development.

-Exam technique and past paper practice.

Lessons are calm, well-organised, and interactive, with clear explanations and regular feedback. I aim to create a supportive learning environment where students feel confident to ask questions and make progress at their own pace.

I am currently studying at a UK university and have experience working with students across different age groups. Lessons are available online and can be adapted to suit individual learning styles and time zones.
