About Connor
I am a Politics graduate from the University of Glasgow with a strong interest in helping students understand how politics and society work in the real world. My academic background includes Scottish politics, social policy and inequality, which closely align with the Modern Studies curriculum. I enjoy helping students break down complex topics into clear ideas and supporting them to build confidence in discussing political issues and answering exam questions effectively. I believe Modern Studies is a fascinating subject that helps students understand the world around them, and I enjoy helping students succeed and develop that understanding.

My lessons focus on helping students understand Modern Studies clearly while developing the skills needed to succeed in National 5 and Higher exams. I tailor lessons to each student, breaking down complex political and social issues into clear explanations supported by examples, discussion and exam practice. A key focus is helping students understand what exam questions are really asking so they can structure their answers effectively and maximise the marks they earn. We work through SQA-style questions together to build confidence in analysing sources, explaining ideas and evaluating arguments while strengthening their overall understanding of the subject.
