About Eloise
Hello I'm Eloise! I am a French and Japanese tutor offering grinds in both languages at both primary and secondary school levels.
I studied French in secondary school and carried on to study it at third-level up until my graduation in 2025. My forte in languages is pronunciation and vocabulary memorisation and as such I would love to help students develop the same skillset in order to reach their desired level of French.
My level of French is advanced (equivalent to C1) and can work with all levels from beginner to intermediate.
As for Japanese, I began studying in university and went on to take the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) and received the N2 qualification which can be used to work at business level in Japan.
My experience with language learning is what led me to become interested in teaching as I would love to share my knowledge with inspiring learners!

As my lessons are targeted towards students, they will focus mainly on work from the Junior Cert and Leaving Cert French and Japanese exam curriculums. This includes speaking practice (pronunciation improvement), vocabulary and grammar tests, and listening and reading practice. I can also offer lessons entirely in either language if requested.
My lessons are open to all ages and levels, and can be revised for each student's needs.
From studying languages in Ireland from primary school up until university, I understand how tedious and repetitive language lessons can be and I aim to give students the opportunity to learn languages in more engaging and proactive ways!
I encorporate various tools and media uncommon in a traditional classroom setting such as music, TV shows and movies to pique the interest of students in language learning.

I received French grinds from Eloise after she was recommended by my parents after seeing a notice about her lessons in town. Thanks to these lessons, I was able to pass my Junior Cert in French with an A which I couldn’t believe, neither could my parents. Her lessons are nothing like what we learn in class as she showed a lot of media like YouTube to teach things like the accent. Thanks to her, I started listening to French music and now one of my favourite artists is a French singer. I couldn’t recommend her enough.
