About Katherine
I am a professional music teacher and musician. I have students in both music theory and voice. My main goal is to create an environment that is comfortable and conducive to learning. Music theory can be extremely daunting, especially for beginners. I want to assure you that no matter your skill level, I will be more than happy to instruct you on how to achieve your own personal goals, whether you are learning just for fun or you have your own professional or academic goals you are looking to achieve.

Music graduate with extensive music theory training. As an educator, I strive to provide you with the tools necessary for you to achieve your own music goals in an environment that is fun, enjoyable and always free of judgment! I believe that whatever music goals you may have, I can help you achieve them.
A typical first lesson with me consists of:
1) A short assessment: what are your goals, do you have any prior training, are you learning for fun or do you have specific academic goals, etc...
2) We jump right in! We start learning basic concepts and terminology based on what you may or may not already know.
These lessons are for everyone, no matter the age, needs or skill level (beginner, intermediate or advanced).
