About Yuri
I’m committed to spending quality time with students on assignments. I believe in assignment partnership, where both student and teacher can do assignments together. With this, though, I will continue to emphasize students to think outside the box, never giving them my answers as the quickest option. I commit to students to be punctual with meetings, and as time-sensitive as needed. Should I have extra time, I’ll allocate that time to students, touching base on older assignments, etc., making sure they are doing well in all their classes. Students can expect to be well listened to. There are often various reasons that students struggle with motivation, assignment completion, etc., and I’m here to listen, mentor, and support. In all this, though, students should not expect an easy time. Students will be forced to structure their arguments, think for themselves, build appropriate essay material, etc., for their assignments, whatever they may be. Expect enjoyable hard fun!

I take my time with students seriously. I will spend time with you, going above and beyond helping students build motivation and skills to succeed in their schooling. Along with this I believe in getting to know students. This won’t be an immediate tutoring experience. I want to get to know my students hobbies, extracurricular activities, vision for life, etc.
My BA and Associate degrees have allowed me to hone in my writing skills. I enjoy blue book exams. I find myself easily able to structure points in an essay, so students can be confident that they will learn material well enough to be able to teach it to their classmates.
Students can expect me to spend more time as needed.
They can also expect to have a fun time. I’m fairly flexible in my lesson structuring and communication, emphasizing students’ needs above necessarily getting every question answered as quickly as possible.
