About DANIEL
I'm a Reader/Associate Professor in Social Sciences at a London university. I've 20 years of teaching experience and am a published author. I really enjoy teaching and supporting students to feel confident, inspired, and understand their subject.
I have particularly strong knowledge and teaching experience in History, Sociology, Politics, Philosophy, Social/Human Geography, and English literature.
I've worked in a number of UK and international universities and have been a university admissions tutor, so can also provide lots of advice and support with application to study at degree level.
I'm very patient, and approachable, good at listening, and will adapt support based on what students want and need.

I can offer support with GCSE, A-Level, IB and degree level across Social Sciences and Humanities including English Literature, History, Sociology, Philosophy, Politics and Human/Social Geography. I can also provide advice and support with University admissions, choice and personal statements.
I'm a patient, warm and dedicated teacher and particularly able to help learners who lack confidence or feel anxious about studying. I have particular interest in helping students develop essay and exam writing skills, revision skills and time planning. I've 20 years of teaching experience in Higher Education and have taught students from diverse backgrounds a wide-ranging ability levels.
Lessons will typically be 60 minutes and will always be tailored to the needs and learning style of the student.
I have a PhD in Social Sciences, MSc in International Relations and BA(Hons) in History and Politics. A-levels in History, English Literature, Geography and Politics and a Higher Education Academy qualification in teaching. I have also been an A-Level and GCSE examiner in History and Politics.
