I secured A grades in all my IGCSE subjects*, so I understand exactly what examiners expect and how students can achieve the highest grades. My goal as a tutor is not only to teach the syllabus but also to mentor and guide students on how to approach exams strategically.
My teaching focuses strongly on conceptual understanding. I first ensure that students clearly understand the underlying concepts before moving on to practice. During lessons, we work through topical past paper questions, which helps students become familiar with the style and difficulty level of IGCSE examinations.
I also spend time explaining the marking schemes and examiner expectations, so students learn how to structure their answers in a way that earns full marks. This is especially important in subjects like Biology and English, where presentation and explanation play a big role.
For IGCSE Biology, I break down complex topics into simple and easy-to-understand explanations, using diagrams and logical connections so students can remember and apply the information effectively.
For IGCSE First Language English, I help students improve their essay writing, comprehension skills, vocabulary, and exam techniques, guiding them on how to structure strong answers and develop clear arguments. For IGCSE Mathematics, my teaching focuses on building strong fundamentals and logical problem-solving skills, which are essential for achieving top grades.
