About Amanda
Hi! I’m Amanda, a psychology professor with a PhD in Adult Development and Aging. I’ve spent years teaching undergraduate psychology courses and mentoring students through research projects, papers, and exams.
I know that topics like research methods, statistics, and even Intro Psych can sometimes feel confusing or overwhelming. My goal as a tutor is to make psychology clear, approachable, and manageable by breaking complex ideas into simple steps.
Because I teach these subjects at the university level, I understand what professors are looking for on exams and assignments. I aim to help students not only understand the material but also build confidence in their ability to succeed in psychology courses.

Hi! I’m Amanda, a university psychology professor with a PhD in Adult Development and Aging. I teach Introduction to Psychology and other core courses, so I work with students learning these concepts every semester.
Intro Psych covers a lot — from the brain and behavior to memory, development, mental health, and social psychology. It’s totally normal to feel overwhelmed, especially when exams are coming up. My goal is to help you organize the material, understand the big ideas, and feel confident applying psychological concepts.
I focus on helping students see the big picture of psychology, not just memorize definitions. In our sessions we might review key concepts, clarify confusing topics, work through practice questions, or develop better study strategies for psychology exams.
Because I teach these courses at the university level, I know exactly what instructors tend to expect on tests and assignments. I aim to make the material clear, approachable, and even a little fun.
My lessons are ideal for college students taking Introduction to Psychology who want help understanding the material, preparing for exams, or building stronger study strategies.
