About Caitlin
I am a 2nd year BA Honours English Literature and Language student and aspiring teacher at Sheffield Hallam University, with a great passion for literature and language that I enjoy to pass onto to others and help with their studies!
I am offering tutoring sessions on various topics at request within English Literature and Language at Primary (SATS) and Secondary (GCSE) level. I am very familiar with the current curriculum in KS1, KS2, KS3, KS4 and KS5, so I would be extra helpful for support in revision for upcoming SATS and GCSE exams. My experience and knowledge within English is great and still expanding, as I currently study BA English at degree level at Sheffield Hallam University, which entails both Literature and Language. Due to this, I am very educated in the fundamentals of English, so any topic that a student needs to gain support and knowledge on, I am more than happy to help!
My experience also entails KS1 school placements where I have taught children in great depth reading and writing skills, grammar, creative writing and teaching KS1 groups Phonics where these children excelled in their tasks.
I am a great tutor for students of all ages because I am very friendly, easily adaptable to all personalities, understanding, supportive and most of all, enthusiastic to teach and help others with English!

My teaching methods differentiate to each student, as i am aware every student doesn’t learn the same way, so I am able to adapt easily to favoured learning styles! I prefer to work 1-on-1 as it allows a student to ask and work on areas they specifically need to adapt on. Although online, tutoring will still be up to normal standard including screen casting for when looking at pieces of work together for a more visual learning approach and additional support including homework created by myself, to match the topics being taught and the student's learning level. My contact details including my email address and mobile number will also be available 24/7 for if additional help with homework is needed or general questions.
